"At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
We love serving our children, and we have the opportunity to specifically serve babies through 6th grade in our children's ministry during both Sunday school (Sunday at 9a) and morning service (10a), as well as during church events..
Our children's ministry provides care for babies until 2 years old. When children turn 2, they are able to participate in our extended session class where they will learn about Jesus through crafts, stories, playtime and much more. Once our children enter into kindergarten, they can attend Children's church which is dismissed following music worship during our Sunday morning Service.
AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Awana is a ministry for children from 6th grade down to those who are in Pre-K or 1 year away from starting kindergarten. AWANA meets during the school year each Wednesday night from 6:15 - 7:45. The mission of AWANA is to help teach children to know, love and serve Christ.
They have group teaching time, individual learning time and game time. They work through a workbook and earn awards (AWANA bucks) as they successfully complete sections of their workbook. The bucks can be claimed at one of the four yearly AWANA store nights. AWANA dues are 50 cents/week or $12 for the year if you want to pay in advance at registration.
