rev. keith horton//senior pastor

Pastor Keith grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He surrendered his life to Christ in 1989 and was radically changed. His vocational ministry began right out of high school when he took a job as youth intern at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church. After his internship, he spent a year at Immanuel Baptist in Gonzales working as their interim youth pastor. From 1995 to 2004, Keith traveled across Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi speaking and leading worship at youth events. During this time, Keith was ordained and served as a deacon in his home church. Keith joined the staff of FBC Plaquemine in 2005 where he was licensed and ordained to the gospel ministry. He and his wife Allison have been married since 1996 and have 6 children. Keith is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in computer engineering.

Keith enjoys running, basketball, and photography. Chocolate chip cookies are his favorite and you won't find him far from his Yeti filled with unsweet tea. He has a heart for missions and the country of Haiti, where he takes an annual trip to lead a pastor's conference.  He is passionate about his family and loves to teach and preach the Word of God.

Belinda has served as music director at FBC since 1977. She and her husband, Dennis, have been married since 1974 and they have two grown children and four grandchildren.  

REV. STEVEN BALLMER // Youth/Young adult pastor

Pastor Steven grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana. He was radically changed when he surrendered his life to Christ on August 27, 2017. On January 6, 2019, he was ordained as a deacon here at FBCP. In May 2022 his vocational ministry began when he took the job as Youth and Young Adult Pastor, and on September 25, 2022, he was licensed and ordained to the gospel ministry. He and his wife Lynette have been married since 1998 and have 3 children. Steven is a graduate of ITI Technical College with a degree in drafting.

Steven enjoys mountain biking, grilling, and family time. Heath Bars are his favorite candy, and he has a desire to serve others. He is passionate about his family, loyal to his church, and loves teaching and preaching God’s Word.
